A two part programme designed to help new parents face the challenges of becoming a first-time parent. It covers a wide range of relevant topics such as:
Baby & You, along with a one year membership to Whangarei Parents Centre is included in the cost of your Childbirth Education course.
Baby & You is held on 2 consecutive Thursday afternoons from 1.00pm to 3.00pm, at the St John Church rooms, 149 Kamo Rd, Kensington.
Moving & Munching
A fun and informative 2 session programme designed to help parents of infants aged around 6 to 12 months through an important phase in their young child's development. Hosted by Whangarei Parents Centre, guest speakers specially trained in early childhood development present Moving and Munching.
'Moving' includes topics such as baby safety, language development and fine and gross motor skills.
'Munching' includes introducing solids, preparing food and establishing good nutrition.
The cost is $25 for Parent Centre members and $35 for non-members, which includes a copy of Alison and Simon Holst's “Watties Baby Food and Beyond” cookbook.
Moving & Munching is held on 2 consecutive Thursday mornings from 10.00am to 12.00pm, at the St John Church rooms, 149 Kamo Rd, Kensington.
