Childbirth Education

Taupo Parents Centre offers free comprehensive childbrith education courses to help you and your partner prepare for having a baby.

We offer an evening course in Taupo (7 weeks) or a weekend course in Turangi (2 days). These classes provide information about pregnancy, birth and early parenting to enable expectant parents to make informed choices and decisions. Our classes are led by qualified Childbirth Educators. Each course is limited to twelve couples so early booking is recommended.

The childbirth education course covers:

nutrition and exercise during pregnancy
labour signs and stages
pain relief options and interventions
the birth process and birth video
informed decision making on vitamin K and immunisations
breastfeeding and newborn care
postnatal depression

TAUPO, 7 sessions, 7-9pm.

TURANGI, 2 Saturdays, 10am - 4pm.
