Childbirth Education (antenatal)

The Papakura Parents Centre has all bases covered when it comes to giving parents in our community the support and confidence they need during pregnancy, labour, and the busy weeks after baby arrives.
As a parent, our experienced Childbirth Educator understands what’s on parents’ minds during pregnancy and delivers sessions in a warm, friendly, and often humourous manner enabling the whole group (yes, even the Dads!) to feel comfortable taking part in discussions and asking questions.
Our goal is to have parents ‘graduate’ from our CBE classes feeling empowered and confident about the birth of their new baby.
Second time parents also attend our CBE classes – this is a great way for the group to hear other parents’ experiences and for second (third, or fourth!) time parents to connect with people in their area who are expecting babies at the same time as them.
We also understand that life after your baby arrives can be pretty hectic so we help you get your coffee group up and running in those early weeks – coffee groups are an amazing source of support and advice while you’re settling into life with a new baby and often life-long friendships are forged.
Your CBE fee of $175 also includes one year’s membership to the Papakura Parents Centre so you’ll enjoy these additional benefits:
- regular newsletter
- special member rates on courses (eg Baby & You)
- special offers from Parents Centre affiliated businesses
