| OUR EDUCATORS
Kapiti Parents Centre is very fortunate to have the services of three qualified Childbirth Educators.
Kapiti Parents Centre has been offering CBE courses to local parents for 44 years, so we have extensive experience plus the support of Parents Centre New Zealand to ensure our courses are current, supportive and informative. We also have follow-on support with Baby & You and parenting education courses. Often our CBE's are able to offer support during your labour and birth. If you would like to know if they can assist you, then please email us at kapiti@parentscentre.org.nzand we will forward your message onto them. Our courses throughout the year are taken by one of the following CBEs.
Liz Hibberd

Hi everyone, my name is Liz.
My first experience of parents centre was in 1998 when attending prenatal classes myself – in 2008 our class lifted a glass of wine to celebrate our 10 wonderful years of friendship and support not only for ourselves, but our children who are lifelong buddies. My family keeps me busy with Jack 11, Flynn 8 and my youngest, Sacha, who is now 6 and of course my partner Stuart. My personal experience of birthing and becoming a parent blew me away. The physiology and philosophy of birthing within a supportive environment was so life-changing, it left me with a passion to become a childbirth educator. I’ve been teaching since 2001 and am also employed by Aoraki Polytechnic as a supervisor for trainee educators, facilitator of the 5-day workshop and marker of childbirth education assignments. It is always an honour to be involved with a group of expectant parents and be part of that very special and intimate time in their lives.
Jenny Warren

Hi, my name is Jenny Warren and I am a
Childbirth Educator, Supervisor and MUM!!!
My husband and I have recently completed
building a new house on a one acre lifestyle block in Levin. We have three young children; Flynn 5,
Fletcher 2 and Abigail 1. My husband
commutes to work in Wellington
each day and my life is kept busy Monday to Friday with school and kindy runs,
playgroups, music sessions and swimming lessons! In the weekends we enjoy family time and with
a big new house, section to look after and kids to play with, there is always
something to do.
In my free time I enjoy exercise, coffees
with friends and shopping!!!
I am a Childbirth Educator for our local
community provider in Levin and also Parents Centre Palmerston North and
Paraparaumu. I have recently taken on a
role as Supervisor for Aoraki Polytech where I work with students who are
currently studying to become Childbirth Educators. I am passionate about providing families with
information and empowering them to make the right choices for themselves not
only in childbirth but in their role as parents.
