Moving and Munching
A fun and informative 2 session programme designed to help parents of infants aged around 6 to 12 months through an important phase in their young child's development. Hosted by Whangarei Parents Centre, guest speakers specially trained in early childhood development present Moving and Munching.
'Moving' includes topics such as baby safety, language development and fine and gross motor skills.
'Munching' includes introducing solids, preparing food and establishing good nutrition.
Courses are held at the Gore Parents Centre rooms at 32 Mersey Street

Magic Moments
Magic Moments focuses on using non-physical ways of discipline and building caring relationships with children, whilst giving clear boundaries. The course is about communication for co-operation. It looks at things like:
Difference between punishment and discipline, Non physical discipline strategies Being responsive not reactive The importance of expressing feelings Effective Communication tips
Numbers are limited for this class, so booking early is essential
