Baby and You
5 week course run on Wednesday morning
This 5 week course, held on Wednesday mornings, is for parents with babies ages from birth to three months old. 

The issues raised cover the first six months of a baby's life and include:
  • Feeding and sleeping.
  • CPR and First Aid.
  • Postnatal exercise.
  • Infant massage.
  • Physical, social and intellectual development.
  • Health and growth

This very popular course is presented by a series of qualified professionals.

The Baby & You course is already offered when you book into a Childbirth Education class at East & Bays Parents Centre. However, parents who did not do an Antenatal course is more than welcome to do this course.

Moving and Munching Course
Parent Education course on Movement & Feeding for your baby.
Moving & Munching is a two-night course run approximately every 2 months for parents of children aged around 4-10 months. 

Topics discussed include:
  •  The intellect, social and emotional development of your baby.
  • How to stimulate your baby.
  • Introduction to solids - age appropriate foods, best times, how much, how often.
  • Foods to avoid.
  • Ideas for snacks and meals at different stages.
  • Food hygiene, cooking, storing, reheating.


One night will be dedicated to baby/child development (physical & physiological) and how parents can assist and understand their child's development. The second night is discussing solids and infant feeding from 4 months through to 9 months.

The speakers are professionally trained and their aim is to make the sessions informative and interesting.
