Baby & You Course Overview
|A course for new parents and babies. Learn key tips to develop and care for your baby and yourself during the first 3 months. You usually start this course when your baby is about 5 weeks old.|
This course runs over 5 daytime sessions and is designed for parents of newly arrived babies.
If you have enrolled in a Baby & You course as part of your Antenatal package, please contact our Course Bookings Officer on email@example.com when you baby arrives so you can be put on the most appropriate course for your baby's arrival date.

- If you have done your Antenatal course elsewhere, this course is $70 for Parents Centre members (or $145 if adding a 1 year membership at the same time), or $85 for non members
- Free for CAPC volunteers
We run our Baby & You course at Athol Syms Hall, 11 Griffin Ave, Epsom.

Your Baby & You course includes a selection of the following topics, and you can check out the wonderful speakers here
Feeding and Sleeping
A sleep professional will teach you how to determine your baby's 'tired signs' and other useful feeding and sleeping tips for surviving and enjoying the first months.
A qualified massage therapist will work with you and your baby for hands on demonstration of relaxing baby massage techniques.
A specialist in postnatal exercise presents a motivational demonstration of essential postnatal exercises and gives you tips on improving your pelvic floor muscles.
Understanding and Managing Life Changes with a New Baby
A registered clinical psychologist leads this session exploring the challenges we can experience adjusting to parenting a new baby. We will discuss strategies for coping with changes in roles, relationships and daily life.
CPR and First Aid
Learn how to execute CPR and choking procedures for babies. General first aid and issues such as poisons, burns and accidents will also be discussed.
An early childhood consultant will cover major developmental stages for your baby and ideas to stimulate their mind. In this fun session you will learn about physical development, milestones, baby furniture and learning through play.
