Strategy
- Parents will be the recognised and preferred provider of friendly, professional and confidence building parent education
- Parents Centres will create a culture of growth in membership in order to attract and retain new members while fostering the ability to retain and sustain existing members.
- Parents Centres will improve retention of existing members by delivering continued value, as their children grow older, through the form of an associate or political membership
- Parents Centres will attract new members through services relevant to the targeted demographic
- Parents Centres will explore new communities and widen Parents Centres’ traditional demographic. Parents Centre will also explore and research our current demographic for market penetration and explore incremental demographics through community groupings.
- Communication processes will give potential and existing members the information they need, when they need it, in a form that it easily utilised. The key message will be that involvement with Parents Centres is always worthwhile.
- Membership will reflect the changing picture of New Zealand society and Parents Centres will be proactive in addressing the needs relevant to society’s changing demographics
Goals
- To define the value of being a Parents Centres member
- To integrate all volunteer marketing into the marketing plan
- To define the value proposition for Parent Education
- To have an effective membership drive aiming to increase each Centre’s 2006 membership figures by 10%
- To explore opportunities to expand the growth of membership to take in different demographics
- To have all current members conversant with the leadership opportunities available within the volunteering roles
- To inform the wider community about Parents Centre and our outstanding volunteer efforts, to increase public awareness of the role of the volunteer in our organisation.
- To develop and understand the value proposition to members
- To develop and implement the Plunket MOU
- To develop and implement the NZCOM MOU
- To develop and implement the Natural Fertility MOU
- To develop and implement the Pregnancy Help MOU
- To define networks and partnerships and their relationship value
- To implement a Corporate Partner programme
- To deliver growth acquisitively and organically through clear objectives
- To sign up 5 new corporate partners each six months
