Bequests to Parents Centres New Zealand

Thank you for considering a bequest to Parents Centre New Zealand Incorporated

Your will is a legal declaration stating how you want your possessions, property and funds to be distributed when you die. It is a time to remember your loved ones and to assist those charities that are close to your heart.

Parenting is everything and great parents grow great children.
Parents Centre New Zealand is a non profit organisation with the largest parenting based infrastructure and network to support parents 0-6 years and has been providing significant support and education to parents since 1952.

By including Parents Centre in your will you can be assured families will continue to be supported in the years to come.  Your financial assistance will equip parents with skills, knowledge and the support they require to ensure the next generation has the best possible start in life.

The following information is provided to assist you in your preparations:

In preparing your Will, you should seek the assistance of a Trustee or family solicitor so that your wishes are clearly and correctly recorded.

There are a variety of ways you can help families in need through you Will including:

Standard bequest clause

To ensure the wording in your Will accurately describes your intentions; the following clause should be included:

"I give (a specified share of the residue / or the sum of / or a specified bequest) to PARENTS CENTRE NEW ZEALAND INCOPORATED for its general purposes for which the receipt of the Treasurer or other authorised Officer shall be an absolute discharge.”

Updating Your Will

You don't need a new Will to add a bequest to Parents Centre New Zealand Incorporated. You can simply add a clause known as a “Codicil” to include Parents Centre New Zealand Incorporated. A Codicil is a document that amends, rather than replaces a previously executed will.  A Codicil needs to be witnessed, signed, and returned to your solicitor and is a formal addition to the principal Will and allows for simple adjustments to be made if required.

Should you wish to tell us your plans, it allows us the pleasure and opportunity to thank you for your generosity and you can rest assured that the strictest of confidentiality will be upheld.

Many thanks for considering supporting parenting in New Zealand in this way.
